Recent studies for Energy Star revealed that up to 70% of A/C systems currently installed have have refrigerant charge problems, airflow related issues or both. Charge and airflow problems significantly effect the output and efficiency of both A/C and heat pump systems.
The perfect complement to the Testo 550, This airflow and charging kit will provide you everything you need to commission A/C systems properly with manufacturer's instructions.
Use the 510 and static pressure tips to verify airflow across the evaporator coil using the pressure drop or total external static pressure measurement. With a Pitot tube (optional) the Testo 510 can also measure air velocity which can easily be converted to CFM with known duct dimensions.
The 605-H2 is used to measure wet-bulb and dry bulb conditions when charging systems equipped with fixed orifices.
