Jim Bergmann Joins TruTech Tools Management Team Akron, OH (January, 2011) – TruTech Tools is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Bergmann to the management team. Jim will serve as TruTech Tools' Chief Technology Officer. “His expertise in the HVAC industry is unsurpassed” says Bill Spohn, General Manager of TruTech Tools, “Jim will be instrumental in developing and delivering training material, enhancing our web design and ensuring the tools we offer are the best in the business.”

 
Jim began his career in the HVAC industry at the age of six. Impossible you may say, but as so many of the industry’s family owned businesses will attest to, it’s in their blood. “I grew up going on service calls with my father and at an early age developed a hands-on understanding of the work and a real appreciation for the needs of the customers and the technicians servicing them.”

In 2007 Jim worked side by side with his father, James C. Bergmann, to develop a website to sell HVAC equipment and TruTech Tools was born. Jim, however, working in a multitude of other capacities in the industry was unable to join the management team initially. “The timing is right for me to devote more of my energy to the growth of TruTech Tools now. The company has experienced tremendous growth since my Dad and I started it and I’m anxious to take it to the next level” says Bergmann.

 
Jim remains in his position as an HVAC Secondary and Adult Instructor at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in Brecksville Ohio. He has been recognized as the News/ARI Instructor of the Year for 2004-2005, and was a runner-up his second year teaching. “Teaching will always be a passion of mine, regardless of what other avenues I pursue” says Bergmann. He specializes in service and system commissioning. Jim has developed one of the top HVAC/R programs in the nation, and his students have achieved 100% related job placement within industry for the past 9 years.

Jim had the first PAHRA accredited secondary program in the nation. He has finished his third year as president of OCARE (Ohio Council for Heating Refrigeration Educators). Jim participated in writing and developing the Ohio Competency Analysis Profile for HVAC, and is a very accomplished educator. Bergmann is NATE (North American Trade Excellence) Service Sector certified in Air Conditioning, Gas Heating, Fuel Oil Heating, Air-to-Air Heat Pumps, Hydronics and Air Flow. He now participates on the NATE technical committee as a technical expert.

As a consultant for Testo, until December 2010, Jim acted as an HVAC/R Technical Specialist, teaching technicians across the country. He also served as a technical journalist for the for the HVAC News, Contracting Canada, HPAC Canada and RSES Journal.
