Duct Testing Systems : Q32 Duc-Tester

CALL FOR BEST PRICING!

Automated Duct Testing without a computer…for measuring duct leakage in residential & light commercial buildings.

Retrotec Model Q32 consists of a Duc-Tester Module, a DM-2A Digital gauge and a 12 foot flex-duct with flanges for mounting on the return register. Click on the desired test pressure and walk away; the DM-2A will run the test for you. Case for DM-2A and grill mask dispenser not included.

DM-2A adjusts speed and measures duct leakage automatically.

The DU220 fan unit has three flow ranges.

New Home or Utility Standards: The Retrotec Duc-Tester is designed specifically to measure residential duct leakage. It can then be used to locate duct leaks and to measure the results of duct sealing. Use the Model Q32 Duc-Tester to verify duct leakage for compliance with codes such as Title 24 in California. The typical 5 Ton air-conditioning system must have 120 CFM of leakage or less to pass California standards. The Q32 will easily test any residential system because it will create 600 CFM which is 5 times more than that.

Specifications:

  • Fan Flow (accuracy +/- 2.5 % with Retrotec DM-2 or Auto Correct software)
  • Maximum Flow in Free Air 750 CFM
  • Max Flow at 25 Pascals with Flex Duct 600 CFM
  • Min Flow at 25 Pascals with Flex Duct 5 CFM
  • Flex Duct Dimensions 10" diameter x 10' length
  • Dimensions Carrying Case 25" x 14" x 15"

Calibration meets: Canadian CGSB-149.1-2002 & SuperE, USA ASTM E 779 – 03, European EN 13829 & CEN, UK TM-23 Energy Standards. NFPA 2001- 01, ISO 14520 and fire standards.

Specifications subject to change without notice. Infiltrometer is a registered trademark of Retrotec. Two (2) years parts and labor on fan unit

Operation: The Duc-Tester will pressurize or depressurize a duct system (with the air handler off) from the main return grille (or blower access opening). The rest of the register openings are taped shut. Duct pressure is measured by static probes in the supply ducts. Airflow is determined by reading flow directly from the DM-2. No computer is required. Setup, taping the registers and getting results takes less than 20 minutes in most homes. The Duc-Tester can also be used in conjunction with a blower door to neutralize duct leaks to indoors to that only duct leakage to outdoors is measured.

Includes:

  • DU220 Fan unit with three flow ranges
  • DM-2A gauge with auto speed control
  • Case
  • Grill Mask
  • 10' Flex Duct and Flanges
