Q: I do not see any Sensi Predict transducers? Does Sensi monitor pressure? I've looked at kit and only thermistors are listed for liq/suc. lines and I see in this video Field Piece units on service ports. I like the concept but without SH/SC data it's worthless in my book.
I have read that there is a $49 annual monitoring fee. Is this a fee per monitored system?
I see on the Emerson web site the Sensi product is described as "Sensi Predict uses 10 sensors to monitor and analyze 32 functions 24/7". When I read the description of the kit available on Tru-Tech it only comes with 5 sensors - Supply / Return air, Liq / Suc line thermistors, and a current sensor. What are the other 5 sensors? Even when including the optional condensate monitor, outdoor ambient and ODU current sensor this only accounts for 8 of 10 sensors.
The Sensi Predict kit is a monitoring device and it is not a diagnostic tool. Sensi Predict sends data to a cloud version of measureQuick which will give you very accurate and remote diagnostic capability. You can then infer some of the other diagnostic measurements needed. You will want to baseline the system before installing the Sensi Predict for the best results.
There are no monitors in this kit that measure refrigerant pressures in real time.
There is a $25 annual monitoring fee per monitored system.
Below is a list of the 10 sensors that are included in the Sensi Predict kit that TruTech Tools sells:
Indoor Control Lines
Outdoor Control Lines
Please email [email protected] with any further questions.
Q: What all is included in this kit? I looked under "Includes" and it only list the kit. If sensors and current relays are not included, what are there part numbers?
We've now got everything that is included in the kit we sell in the Includes tab on this item.
Q: Do you have to use an Emerson thermostat with it, or will any stat work?
Any thermostat will work with the Sensi Predict Kit. It is an independent monitoring tool.
Q: Will Sensi Predict work on inverter systems?
There is a selection to choose “inverter” compressor for the outdoor which basically means the Sensi Predict won't trigger an alert at low capacity operation.
To TruTech's knowledge, there are only 2 inverter systems (Goodman & Bosch) that allow for “legacy” wiring with a dedicated Y Line going from the Indoor to Outdoor unit.
Generally most Inverter systems are Ductless, and High End Communicating Split Systems from Carrier, Lennox, Trane, etc. The Sensi Predict will not work on those Communicating systems.
Q: The instruction manuals show a condensate monitor. Can't find a part number, is it available?
A: It's an interface for a condensate monitor, not an actual condensate monitor itself.
It can be purchased from Emerson directly.
Q: Is there a warranty on this product?
What is the expected life span before replacement?
Each Sensi Predict Kit comes with a 5 year warranty.
Based off of the warranty, the sensors for the Sensi Predict are expected to last at least 5 years.
Q: Do I have to own a HVAC business to buy, I am an HVAC professional.
Also do you need a hub for this device to communicate to the internet?
You do not have to be an owner of an HVAC business to buy a Sensi Predict Kit, however HVAC professionals must be a Sensi Predict Authorized Contractor. You can sign up easily at this link here: https://getstarted.sensipredictpro.com/
The Sensi Predict connects to the homeowner/building owners Wi-Fi signal. This takes up a very small amount of Wi-Fi bandwidth on a network. If there is no Wi-Fi available in the area the Sensi Predict is installed you cannot receive the data from the Sensi Predict.
Q: Can this system work on 3 phase systems? 230/460 volts system and 7.5 tons to 30 tons?
This Sensi Predict Kit is strictly to be used on single phase, non communicating systems. It is primarily meant to be used on residential or light commercial applications.

Q: Where can I buy optional accessories? What's the part numbers?
I would like to have humidity sensor for SA & RA and DLT sensor as well. Are they in development?
TruTech will have the optional accessories available shortly, they will be the Condensate Monitor, and the Gateway and Sensi Predict Extender.
At this time the Supply Air and Return Air sensors will only measure temperature and there is no sensor included for the Discharge Line Temperature.
We are unsure if they are in development at this time.
Q: Hello, I have 3 Sensi Touch Screen Thermostats in my home, 1 on each level.
But all connecting to a single, (1)
(Combination HVAC Natural Gas Forced Air Furnace
and AC Unit) with 3 Seperate Zones.
Do I need to buy 3 Predicts, 1 for each Thermostat?!?!?!
...Or can 1 talk to all 3 Thermostats?
Thank You for Your Help with this matter.
The Sensi Predict monitoring system is a monitoring system for the health and efficiency of your HVAC system.
You should not need more than 1 Sensi Predict kit for a single system. The Sensi Predict does not control or change how your HVAC system works, it will only monitor certain parameters that can help diagnose issues and report those back to the HVAC technician that installed the Sensi Predict.
